Aluminium Brass Tubes
In Various kinds of Industrial Applications, one of the Most Widely Accepted Materials, is Aluminium Brass. Aluminium Brass has a Yield Strength of 186 MPa (27 KSI) and a Tensile Strength of 414 MPa (60 KSI). It has an Elongation of 55%. Aluminium Brass Tube is Highly Capable of resisting the actions of Brackish Water and also that of High Velocity Salt. Such Tubes Made from Aluminium Brass are available in the form of Rods. One of the best features of this material is that it has a Very High Resistance to Impingement Attack. Aluminium Brass Condenser Tubes are used for Condensers and Heat Exchangers. Aluminium Brass Tube C68700 has a Very Typical Chemical Composition and this is: Al: 1.8-2.5%, Pb: 0.05% max,Cu: 76-79%, Fe: 0.05%, As: 0.02-0.06% and Zn: Bal %. Aluminium Brass is an alloy of Copper and Zinc, to which, to serve as an Inhibitor against Dezincification, a little bit of Arsenic is added.
Inhibited Aluminium Brass is used a lot for Condenser Tubes. These Aluminium brass Tubing has the Capability of Developing a Protective film around it and it is this film that has Self-Healing Properties. Such Tubes of Aluminium Brass are used in Evaporators, Desalination Plants, Ship Repair and Ship Building, Condensers, Heat Exchangers and Radiators, Distillers, Refineries, Ferrules, Offshore Oil Rigs, Power Plants, etc. Tubes Made from Aluminium Brass are ideal for use where Impingement was not provided by Admiralty Brass and in sectors where there are High Cooling Velocities, such as in Land and Marine Power Stations.

Testing Done On Tubes
Maximum Pressure Work
P = Maxium work pressure(psi)- S = Minimum tensile strength of material for a specific temper(It is the value of the tensile strength in psi in Mechanica properties table)
- D = Exterior diameter of tube
- T = Wall thickness of tube
- P = (2T x S)/5D
